Have you ever had a character that you decided to retire? Not because people don't notice them, but because people always view them in an improper way? A character that you hope to make an entertaining and loving way to get a moral message out there and have fun doing it.
An extreme example... you create a character that is a furry Nun. You make them up to be a proper Nun and the world sees them as a demonic little tramp... would you retire them?
It's one thing if it's something you created and it didn't work out. But what if you had this character for the better part of two decades?
I find myself in a sort of different position. I chose to retire my MAIN character because of how people view those who are in her profession.
